We are urging people to hold house meetings with friends, family and neighbors to talk about how we can get full funding for our schools.   This 8 minute video is a good way to start the conversation.

The following tools and resources are available from PCAPS to help you raise your voice against school closings  and speak-out with your neighbors and colleagues for real solutions for our public schools.

I just looked at the petition. It’s good but does not fit the situation at my school (AMY at James Martin.) We could make our own, but maybe for unity’s sake a PCAPS petition, (version 2) would be better? We are a highly successful, safe, fully populated, ethnically balanced, magnet school, threatened with “relocation,” which probably means folding our program, because parents will pull their children out, rather than send them to Penn Treaty a “rival” school, which is an unreasonable commute, has a reputation for being unsafe, and has not made AYP for several years. We have offer a solution to the problem of over-crowding in the lower NE, since half of our students travel to us from the lower NE. If you think we should have a PCAPS alternative petition, contact me so we can write together?

Typo- take out “have” before the word “offer!” Sorry!
